I/O Port Racing Supplies is a renowned supplier of auto racing safety equipments.
They are a brand by themselves, and also have a number of well known brands like AMB, ATL,
Kirkey and Red Line associated with them. I/O Port Racing Supplies came into existence in
early June 1988 and has its offline presence in Lafayette, California. Initializing their
business with selling helmets and other equipments at local events, I/O Port Racing have
grown to establish themselves as a company enjoying worldwide sales.
As the business expanded to global level, I/O Port Racing Supplies decided to
construct online store with an aim to make it easy for the prospective international
web surfers to make inquiries and purchases. With this objective ‘Ioportracing.com’
was made live in early 1998.
Sticky Situation:
TIn spite of having an online existence for more than four years, I/O Port Racing Supplies
failed to see increase in revenue from their online set-up. The main reason behind the
shortfall was lack of online visibility of Ioportracing.com for the associated keywords.
The site had rankings for some of the low competitive keywords but was unsuccessful
to build the prominence for highly competitive keywords that would bring in targeted
traffic.
To improve Ioportracing.com rankings for competitive keywords, Ken Myers – the proprietor of
Ioportracing.com, identified ePromotionz for its eminent Search Engine Optimization services.
They wrote to us, and our prompt replies convinced them of our capabilities, which led to
our association in July ’05.
Results: With the initial analysis it was found that the Web site design and structure was not in sync with the Search Engine parameters. The initial conversation with Ken Myers of Ioportracing.com took place, and the SEO head Nixan Crasto strategically analyzed the entire scenario. He concluded that the following areas needed to be worked on, in order to bring Ioportracing.com to the top spot: Generating keyword rich content, Carrying appropriate Link Optimization process and targeted Meta Tag generation. After the initial scrutiny, the project was led by the Project Manager Devendra Mishra, who along with the entire SEO team of ePromotionz dedicatedly worked on the site. The approach adopted by our SEO team was as follows:
- Pointing a few one way back links with competitive keywords as their anchor text
- Creating Meta titles and Meta tags that matched with the search engine requirements
- Optimizing the on-page factors
- Suggesting the removal of redirecting pages
- Suggestion to incorporate keyword rich content
Revamping the site as per the suggestions made by the experts enabled Ioportracing.com to enjoy the expected results in the very first month of our association. The rankings for the competitive keywords have improved and the traffic of the site has increased by double!!
